Walton 5K Run/Walk

Join us on Saturday, June 28th for the 15th annual Walton 5K, 1-Mile Walk, Competitive 5K Walk and/or Free Firecracker Run (500 Meters for ages 11 and Under)!

All proceeds go to the Lewis Cass Girls Cross County Program and the Haley Begley Scholarship. 

Haley Begley, a beloved member of our cross country team, tragically passed away in a car accident caused by a drunk driver during her senior year in 2018. In her memory, her mother established the Haley Begley scholarship, benefiting a Lewis Cass student involved in either softball or cross country—sports that held special significance to Haley. A portion of the proceeds from the 5K will support this scholarship, ensuring Haley's legacy lives on.

Proceeds will directly benefit the Lewis Cass junior and high school girls cross country programs. With approximately 45 girls involved, these funds will facilitate team-building activities, provide necessary equipment, offer healthy snacks, and furnish team apparel.

Free Kids Firecracker Run: 8:00 AM
5K Run/Walk and Competitive Walk Start: 8:15 AM

ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES

Registration fees include: race t-shirt, grab and go breakfast, and an official timed race with results posted online.
All proceeds go to the Lewis Cass girls cross country team and a portion to the Haley Begley scholarship at Lewis Cass. 

5K Run/Walk: $30 on or before June 19th
                      $35 on or after June 20th

5K Competitive Walk: $30 on or before June 19th
                                $35 on or after June 20th

1-Mile Walk: $30 on or before June 19th
                   $35 on or after June 20th

Firecracker Run for Kids 11 and Under: FREE (Pre-registration not required)

Online registration is available until June 27th at 6:00 PM

Please register by Sunday, June 15 to guarantee a commemorative t-shirt. Any registration after June 15th is not guaranteed a shirt.



AWARDS

Awards will be give to the following:

Top male and female overall in the 5K Run and 5K competitive walk.

Awards for the first and second place male and female 5K run in the following age groups:

12 and Under
13-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70 and Over

No refunds issued for any reason. Please keep animals on leashes. Jogging strollers welcome!
